Guest guest
THOUGHT, THE PROPELLING FORCE (By Swami Vivekananda) It is the thought which is the propelling force in us. Fill the mind with the highest thoughts, hear them day after day, think them month after month. Never mind the failures; they are quite natural, they are the beauty of life, these failures. What would be life without them? It would not be worth having if it were not for struggles. Where would be the poetry of life? Never mind the struggles, the mistakes. So never mind these failures, these little backslidings; hold the ideal a thousand times, and if you fail a thousand times, make the attempt once more. The ideal of man is to see God in everything. But if you cannot see Him everything, see Him in one thing which you like the best, and then see Him another. So on you can go. There is infinite life before the soul. Take your time, and you will achieve your end. (2:152-53) Few understand the power of thought. If a man goes into a cave, shuts himself in, and thinks one really great thought and dies, that thoyght will penetrate the walls of that cave, vibrate through space, and at last penetrate the human race. Such is the power of thought; be in no hurry therefore to give your thoughts to others. first have something to give. He alone teaches who has something to give, for teaching is not talking, teaching is not imparting doctrines, it is communicating. Spirituality can be communicated just as really as I can give you a flower. This is the true in the most literal sense(4:177-78) ---------- By Swami Vivekananda Join my of Goddess Mahasaraswati Mahalakshmi Mahakali and Hinduism. divyabhakti Sports Rekindle the Rivalries.
