Guest guest
Swami Vivekananda left his family and participated in the divine knowledge propagation. He worked even 17-18 hours/day for the lord's mission. He participated in the mission of propagation of divine knowledge on the order of the then human incarnation Rama Krishna Paramahamsa. This is an example of Karma sanyasa and no trace of meditation in that. As a Saint renunciates from family, he will not be earning money. So He does only karma sanyasa i.e., sacrificing all his energy in the divine knowledge propagation only. He is not having any duties also. Renunciation itself is for the propagation of divine knowledge. Otherwise it has no meaning. Rama Krishna parmahamsa used to really go into real samadhi. The proof of that is the excellent divine knowledge, He preached after coming out of the Samadhi. Now people are claiming that they reached Swamadhi (association of Lord) but cannot preach any divine knowledge. Lord is Satyama Jnanam Anantam Brahma so the association should result in learning excellent divine knowledge. Whatever was preached by Rama Krishna parmahamsa was propagated later on by Swami Vivekananda. whomever you have listed, they are all renunciated and participating/participated in the divine knowledge propagation which is nothing but Karma Sanyasa. A householder has to do both karma phala tyaga (donating money for lord's mission) and karma sanyasa (sacrifice of work for the sake of lord's mission). This is called service or karma yoga. at the lotus feet of shri datta swami surya www.universal-spirituality.org om_agni_devi <no_reply> wrote: I dont quite understand your question. Yoga and sadhana consist of these techniques. All great yogis have used them, Sivananda, Vivekananda, Ramakrishna, Satyananda, Paramhansa Yogananda, Sri Yukteshwar, Lahiri Mahasaya. These are the ones who have left their own writing and we can read from them. I dont know if Jesus or Kabir also practiced the same. In my eyes and in my understanding these great yogis were supreme.
