Meditation is the process of stilling /slowing the mind which is like

a restless monekey, so as to be able to make contact with the

divinity that is present within each individual incarnation. At some

point this process becomes one with the individual doing the process.

All the rest including Paths, Gurus, Devotion, Knowledge techniques,

mantras, yantras, are tools used in this process. Each set of tools

work in different ways, appropriate to the temperament needs.

Individuals are attracted to tools according to their temperament,

which is part and parcel of the karmic baggage manifesting in the

current ego. This baggage of samskaras, and vasanas (attitudes,

beliefs and desires) expresses itself through the mind, where

thoughts, like a restless monkey, flits around distracting,

preoccupying and disallowing it to quieten enough to contact the

subtle energies of the divine presence. The mind is what stands in

the way of making the ultimate contact.

Dear,

The first thing in world is, "The mind" is not a

physical thing which is present in the body. Its our

area of focus on the things we are interested in.

Now our focus is only on material things, we think

only of material world and get attached with them.If

We we watch them while sitting silently with no

physical movements the focus goes to thought

level. With neglegence to these thoughts by

watchfullness are awareness these thoughts also gets

discarded.and finally sheer self presence is

exposed.Which is called as meditation.

You wont find mind in the body if you go on searching

years together.
