Guest guest
This is a great misconception. What is Tantra anyway? The roots of the word Tantra can be explained either as "realising energy" or as "weaving". Tantra is the mother of yoga and yoga is one branch of what we call tantra, the right hand path. Tantra is divided into the right hand path and the left hand path. The right hand path, that has been preserved in the form of yoga, does not include any controversial techniques, whereas the left one does. Left hand path tantra, is a path for the accomplished yogi and not for curious and ignorant people. The energies it releases are too great for a weak nervous system to handle. Its a quicker way of evolution but a more dangerous one, if one is not well-prepared for it. The sexual techniques might not even be considered that way, and although they allure people into practicing them, they demand such an extreme discipline and control over lust that even yogis might not master. The left hand path tantra techniques are the ultimate test, if you fail you loose all your shakti. The Neotantra that is based solely on sex is missing 99,9% of the real meaning and technique of tantra and has been developed by perverse people in need of money. An extreme left hand path of tantra called Aghora might make use of the 5 M's, but this takes place again from accomplished masters who have control over life and death, over mind and matter. They might kill an animal in order to include it in a ritual and accomplish a complex sadhana through it. But they know how to make sure the soul gets a higher womb and is even born as a human. Beyond the conditions hidden behind the 5 M's, conditions that cannot be followed by normal people, the 5 M's are also symbolic and are used in such a way in the right hand path tantra, known as yoga. Exactly due to the difficulty, the misconceptions and the dangers that the left hand paths include, the spiritual masters started promoting yoga, leaving the controversial name of tantra behind, to be able to train people slowly into it. Left hand paths are dangerous, not only for the life of the same the practicioner but for the people surrounding him as well. Ignorant people may use such extreme ideas and practices to excuse their own weaknesses and mental illnesses. Havent we seen perverse people, ill minds murdering in the name of black magick? Such crimes and pretextes give as a result a bad name to extreme paths that have nothing to do with them. So, its wiser that the majority of people is not aware of the secret paths. , "udaykumar S.K." <udaykumar001> wrote: > > Dear babaji, > > As per my opinion "tantra " is a tool equally usefull > for liberation as well as entering deep into "maya". > > The tantra needs highly intellectuall capacity to > erase the bonds of maya by inviting the most strong > bond of "sexuality" alongwith others. It is the try of

Guest guest
Yes Babaji, Tantra is about knowledge, the supreme knowledge and how everything functions in this universe. Maya is the only tool we have ironically to remove it. What is Tantra anyway? -------------------- Very true...the problem is that the word Tantra brings the feeling of sex to a person not knowing about Tantra. Tantra is older than Upanishdas and shrutis. Japa Yoga, Kundalini yoga, Raja yoga, Hatha yoga, kriya yoga, Naada yoga are all basically Dakshin Marga Tantra.... Dakshin Marga of Tantra is knowing the Truth with Knowledge (Gyan) and vaam marga is knowing the truth with Ananda (bliss) and you rightly said Vaam marga is more difficult that Dakshin Marga, becoz it needs highest levels of purification and control of senses. There are 84 Tantrik rituals in Vaam marga and only 13 of them are done with sex....there too sex is not used for lust, or enjoyment but as a tool. Vaam Margi Tantrik arouse the sexual energy (the second most powerful and pure energy in the universe)....and instead of using that energy into mere ejaculation and momentary enjoyment, they use that energy to go up in Sushumna and use it for chakra cleansing. Tantra should not be taken as separate path, but it is a universal set of all paths. A bhakta, unkowingly awakens kundalini...Japa awakens kundalini and all other paths basically lead to Kundalini Jagran...and it is Kundalini which takes the form of Ishta Devta to please the devotee. And what others do unknowingly, a Tantrik does it with full consciousness...he awakens the kundalini and takes it up chakra by chakra and merges it in the supreme bindu called Brahm. All other paths have difference of opinion among each other, Tantra has no contradiction to any theory. A real Tantrik knows the truth behind Advaita, vishita adviata, shakti, shiva, krishna, Rama, ....even the truth in other religions. In a room a person who knows nothing about electricity can switch the button and fill the room with light. An engineer does the same but engineer knows how the bulb works, how electricity coming to the room, how it was stepped down from 30,000 volts to 220 volts....how it travelled from the Power House...and how electricity is being produced in dynamo.....He is a Tantrik !! IN this age, i am sure the next era is of Tantra because with the Budhhi evolving more and more...will not settle for devotion alone...it will ask for the why and how of everything....and only Tantra can reply all the questions. A devotion coming out of knowledge is the real devotion, it does not bring fanatism Alakh Niranjan
Guest guest
devi, you are confirming my point. the tantra needs high intellectual capacity. otherway round it means it is for higher level people only as you said. --- om_agni_devi <no_reply> wrote: > This is a great misconception.
