Guest guest
I just returned from an incredible healing experience with John of God from Brazil, a healer who has been featured in Discovery Channel late last year. The producer of the show told us that he went as a skeptic, but has returned many times because of the powerful energy he experienced there. http://www.johnofgodinatlanta.com/ While I winessed healings of various kinds, what was even more powerful for me was their focus on peace and healing of the world. Almost 5000 seekers from all faiths and cultures, came together for three and half days, and spent their time, in collective and individual prayer and meditation, not only for the healing of themselves, but for all of the world. The power, the faith in peace, the love, was a celebration of the essence of all faiths- peace and love. In the rampant environment of divisive fanatism, where people spit fire of hatred and intolerance towards each other, this was a renewal for me of my belief in the one and only truth there is .. Peace is possible; Tat Twam Asi; hurting someone else is hurting your own self. In the world over fanatics have shut up those who speak of peace, by attempting to shout them down and through personal insults. Our tiny club is no exception. The incongruity of being a sadhak and intolerance among sadhaks has always amazed me, the recent outbursts has, as I have stated earlier, removed the masks of spirituality. The sun shines, irrespective of how loud one screams that it doesn't. World peace, is possible, and love to all, including the fanatics wrapped in ignorance, is a reality that CAN be created. I continue to urge all those in our satsangh who do believe in it to stand up, share your vision of it, and hold that torch high. Share also, some of your ideas to implement this ideal. _/\_ Tat twam asi Uma
