Guest guest
Hello all it's good to meet you. My name is William, I am 23 years old and live in Philadelphia U.S.A. I thought this might be a good place to share an experience I had to some who may be sympathetic. I have studied many spiritual things in my life, but always avoided Hinduism because I thought it would be to complicated and confusing! About 2 years ago my life would change greatly though..... I was walking down the street, completely sober and not thinking about such matters at all when I had a vision which I will give to you if your interested. The music was a drum beat obsessively playing off of the number 2 like a heart and I can see the image of a woman-only her image dancing as if illuminated by fire against a black backround-it was as if she was the only thing that existed This scene of the dance is interuupted by another one: A man wearing a white thread climbs a hill the same size as the man and sits upon it. The SUN is framing directly behind him and all the colors are exaggerated bright and very distinct from one another much like a painting. He crosses his legs and locks his hands in a mudra as if to meditate. The music for this is strings and singing. I am shocked by a horrible scream as his eyes widen-bloodshot- and roll back in his head. I hear a Twack sound and his head keeps turning back-his throat opens and his head rolls off!! This scene again cuts To the dancing woman and the drums only now she has a head in her hands she lifts the head. Her Mouth is the only thing I see and blood shoots into her mouth without spilling a drop. A flash and again I see the hill with the cross-legged headless man his body shoots two streams of blood. One to the left, it hits the ground and forms a river. One arcs to the right and does the same. Back to the black woman and it fades all I can think is Kali Kali why would I get Goddess Kali!?! It's all true and there is much more than I can explain here. It was beautiful despite the horror elements. I understood it all as symbolic even if I didn't get it at first. So now I'm a 23 year old confused white Hindu- Fun Huh?? I tried my best to worship, but without a teacher it can be difficult and I dont want to go explaining religious visions I have to random people. For me music is great devotion and I have been studying Tabla& Harmonium taking lessons and playing many hours each day to good effect. The music was an important part of the vision so I made it an important part of my life. It definitely works and is a path to god. Interpreting the vision over time I have figured that the Hindu in the dream was me- strange as that may be. The reason the Mountain was the same size as the man was because it was the man. He conquered himself, ascended through all the chakras to Sahasrara- also this is why his eyes rolled back looking up. To move beyond distinctions to the center of your being-the SUN within the soul is to be one with Kali. She was black to me yet filled with colours, in my vision she was the universe it is also why she appeared illuminated by fire. The loosing your head part relates to getting past mental limitations. I could go on forever let me just say that I fell in love with Kali and will do my best for the rst of my life to give myself to her and be one with her. WHich is to say be one with the Universe and all that is-its the least I could do! The worst part was that I was walking down the street! I wish I could have bee home meditating or something to appreciate it more- I guess the unverse doesn't always work by our rules!
