Guest guest
Namaste, My name is Shelly. I am a 32 year old woman who is married and living in Connecticut. I am a full time stay at home mother to 5 wonderful kids that I homeschool. I am also a devotee of Kali and fully and helpless in love with Mama. I do have a Guru. Mata Amritanandamayi or Amma as I call her. We (the children and I) actually just went to recieve darshan on Monday from her. Kali has called me my whole life. Just in different forms that I could relate to. But Hinduism and India has always been an interest to me since I was little girl. My birth mother will say I was always drawn to it. But our family was Catholic so it was a long time till I was able to put it all together. In my mid twenties is when it hit me who she was and how long she has been waiting for me to wake up. I have had a difficult time finding information that seemed "real" to me. I hope I am able to put this right but it seems most of what I read or found was what I like to call bunny foo foo stuff made for neo- pagans. I have nothing against that but it is not what my soul craves and it is not helping with my hunger to remember my Mother. I have since in the past few months been in contact with a woman across the seas in Singapore who is just amazing me and helping much and I am greatful for Mama bringing her into my life. I don't feel like I am drowning so much anymore and lost. My questions finally have answers and the things I wondered about I am finding I already knew and am just taking a bit to remember in this life. Krishnan I read the post you had written to another new member and I am greatful for the list of scriptures you listed. This has been my new persuit. I just finished reading Kali's Oddiya and now I want to read Her scriptures. Where could one find these texts? I looked on Amazon and found a few and found a few more on Shree Ma's site. I look forward to being a part of the group and learning and sharing. It is nice to know there are others out there that love Mother as much as I do. Jai Ma!
