Maa's main domain in India is Bengal. You'll find many Kali Temples in

Calcutta, say for example "Kalighat". 10 or 20 years ago, the northern parts

of India were a breeze to visit. Now, I am not so sure. But South India from

what I hear, is now "paradise" compared to the north. Where do you intend to

go? North or South? If you head north, its a hop, skip and jump to Kathmandu -

in some parts they still have blood sacrifices (not for the faint-hearted)

dedicated to Kali Ma.

If you head south, the locals are very friendly, some will tell you where to

find Kali temples. My memory ain't clear but I'll try to recall a special

temple in a remote area down south where the resident Kali murthi is "very

powerful". If you go south, one favor please..... Have a sniff at those

delightful jasmine flowers..... (Its the kind of scent that stays with the

soul long after we leave a place.)

May Maa Guide You in Your Quest,
