The most popular version is that Goddess Lakshmi is the Daughter of Lord of the Ocean of Milk, i.e., She is Ksheerabdi Kanya. But I also heard that she is the Daughter of Sage Bhrigu and hence she is also called Bhargavi. I never heard this version and I got confused. Please clear this doubt of mine. I only know that Goddess Lakshmi is the Daughter of Lord of Ocean of Milk. How and when was She born as the Daughter of Sage Bhrigu? Please tell me this story. Thank You, Sandeep.
