Guest guest
93 For shakta-tilaka either kumkuma (which is NOT turmeric itself, but perhaps made from it) or rakta-sindura (red vermillion). In kaula tradition also sexual sectretions of a woman are used for the same purpose. The only place for tilaka is ajna. In some sects tripundra with bhasma is also applied together with rakta-bindu. At least in chakra-sadhana women are put tilaka with yoni-tattva and finally with kula-tattva (mixture of secretions). I cannot say anything abt if they can put such tilaka for themselves . It is implied that either bhairava or guru does that. A.
