Guest guest
and mental / emotional "house-cleaning"). I use mantras as my primary means of spiritual development, personal transformation and devotional offering.I currently work part-time from home as a teacher for the PaganStudy division of Interfaithnet.org. I teach 8 online classes for them including Intro to the Goddess, Intro to Wicca, Candle Magick, The Dark Goddesses: A Reflective Journey into the Divine Shadows, Meditation & Visualization 101 & 201, and The Hindu Pantheon. I may also soon be teaching a 2 level class on the Hindu Pantheon, as well as a intro course on mantras for the Hinduism division of Interfaithnet.I also maintain a home-based business, PranaDevi Energetics: Alternative Health & Spirituality Facilitation, which right now is limited to correspondance work as the condo we are living in is too small to allow me to work from here. I am a Reiki Master in several styles, and have founded Shakti Bija Mantra Reiki, which blends the supportive and healing energies of Usui Reiki, with the transformational power of Sanskrit mantras. I enjoy finding new ways to blend energetic & introspective modalities, such as aromatherapy, crystal healing, chakra balancing, core shamanic journeywork, chanting, etc. Most of the work is teaching Reiki practitioner certification courses, although I am really looking forward to expanding once we move into a new house, and I can begin performing treatments again.I am also an avid writer - having been published in NewWitch and Circle magazines, and also on Witchvox. In my mundane life I am a professional actress, having been onstagesince I was 4. I also play homemaker for my partner, Dan, and haveactually grown to really enjoy playing the domestic!I look forward to participating in this group! Guest guest
That is funny you say that, Ganesha also opened up the door to the Hindu religion for me. I began collecting statues, creating paintings of Him, etc. As i spiritually evolved, i became a worshipper of Ma Kali and my devotion to Ganesh has declined. I am very ecclectic in my beliefs. There are no Hindu places/temples for Westerners where i live as far as i know. I have recently began going to a Tibetan Buddhist Temple to take classes. I wish there was some place like this for Hinduism as well. There is only so much you can absorb through reading. Teachers serve one well. Hindu scripture is also very confusing, and there is so much one does not know where to start. Personally i have focused on energy work, Reiki, and chakra work. bb Kali_Ma, Len Rosenberg <kalipadma108> wrote: > > > Namaste Devi -- > > I would also describe myself as a Shakta Witch.
