Guest guest
Namaskar, I want to just share this incident that happened when I was attending the ceremony of a new Temple. I was attending the ceremony where new idol for a new Goddess Temple was being done. There were three Goddess Sarasvati, Lakshmi, Kali. In the Ceremony, there is a ceremony which is called "pranaprathisstapana". In this part of this ceremony , the life is induced into the idol. That is by chanting Vedic Mantras the stone idol is now said to be vitalised with the prana or life. There are number of steps in it. In the end of the ceremony, the idols are covered with a cloth, and the Vedic Mantras are chanted by the Brahmins/Preists . The Mantras if I mistake not are to invoke the goddess to now express herself to devotees in the form of idol in the temple for all the time. What happened while doing this is the cloth that covering Goddess Kali's Murti fell. Seemingly for me or for any general devotee who was watching the ceremony and even the priest this was the sign that the Goddess Kali had indeed come. Strangely , the cloth on Lakshmi and Sarasvati did not move. But more importantly , there was a girl round about aged 30 who had closed her eyes and hands in Namaskar position. This girl who had eyes closed , Maa Kali appeared and she said "I am here please remove the cloth covering me." when the girl immediately opened her eyes she saw that the cloth had already fallen!! The girl who was my sister's friend and like my elder sister told that she was not a very Dharmic or say into too much of spirituality and never did much Vratas or Pujas, then why did Goddess reveal to her when there were significantly other "ochre-clad" people in the ceremony! Belief in God she had. But she was visibly shaken by the incident and had she never expected that she would get a vision, she felt giddy after and soon left the ceremony and later told us about her experience. She slept for most of the time that day and rested. She was normal living , worked as a ship crew for Disney an rather confused how Goddess Kali came and said those words. devishakti_india
