Guest guest
Hello everyone! I am new to the group but i wanted to ask some questions. All of my friends are hindus but i am kind of new to hinduism. I have always felt a very special connection with Kali(in fact that is why i became interested in hindusim and india in general). Recently i have become more serous about learning more. I was mainly just wondering what are some books i should start with (regarding kali) and how should i go about doing puja's to her. Also does she have any special kumkum style or jewlrey that go along with kali worship(i am male)? thanks!!
Guest guest
Hi. I can offer this... Regarding Mother Kali's japa malas (beads to do mantra), the Tantras say that the beads should be made of bone or clear quartz crystal. Also the rudraksha bead of 9 faces is declared to be the Devi Rudraksha, specifically to Goddess Durga, but since Kali Ma sprung from the forhead of Durga Devi, this bead is also good to have as a pendant or center bead of a mala. A Good book is "Kali Puja" that is published by Devi Mandir Om Shri Shakti Yogini In a message dated 1/5/2006 5:26:42 PM Central Standard Time, jpug77 writes: Hello everyone!
