Guest guest
Namaste; here be something for you.....about me Lady Kali.. Jah'vi In reading The Black Goddess, I've come up with certain things that I would probably offer to Kali at the ceremony I want to do. What i really like is the statement that it is believed that worship without the sharing of food is ineffectual. This is so like what the coven does after ritual- cakes & wine (Or cookies and juice) or we have been known to whip up a lovely potluck feast for after Circle. Here is what I would put together (with help from coven mates of course!) for a post Kali Puja fest..... Rock candy, fruits, sweets (would gulab jamun be appropriate?), coconut milk, cow's milk, rice, fried vegetables, vegetable curry, lentils, ghee (they have this in big jars at local supermakets), fish curry, sweet curds (what is that!?), rice pudding, fried bread, fried eggplant, and fried potatoes. What do folks think of that? Would eggplant parmesan be acceptable? just a thought... Also, it came to me last night, Sometimes I get flashes of artistic inspiration..Around this area, you can find jet, a fairly soft workable coal. I thought, if I found a big enough piece, I might try carving a small figure of Kali out of it..paint her eyes and hands.... I may have to go on a jet hunt later this year!
