Kali's Bija Mantra

 

There are numerous versions of Mother Kali's bija or seed mantra,

such as:-

 

1. Krim pronounced: - "KREEM" to rhyme with "Dream" (Vedic)

 

2. Kring pronounced: - "KREENG" (Tantric)

 

3. Kring - The pronunciation is just as it is spelled. (Tantric)

 

4.Kiring - The pronunciation is `Ki' as in the word `kit,'

and `Ring' just like the English word `ring' = Ki-Ring – this is one

version given out my Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental

Meditation.

 

5. Kirim - The pronunciation is `Ki' as in the word `kit,' and `Rim'

as in the `rim' of a wheel. - This is the 2nd version given out my

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation.

 

Are there more versions?

Do they all invoke Mother Kali?

Why are there so many variations?
