Some months ago I dreamed that Kali was sitting next to me somewhere outside,

quite casually. We were both working on something with our hands, or making

something. At first I didn't know that she was Kali. She was a beautiful dark

woman with a thick accent. She wore a cape or shawl with a woman's image

printed or woven onto the back of it. I admired it because when she put it on

it came to life. She said mine was the same. I took mine off and looked at

it. She said I should put it on and become Tara/Kali. She said the two names

as if they were the same thing. If I put it on I would become Tara/Kali.

That week I went looking for information about Tara and Kali, because I knew

almost nothing about the two, except that Tara is revered in Buddhism. What I

found connected the two Goddesses, and in one instance stated that the two were

actually one and the same.

It felt good to have dreamed this and find that the connection was real, but I

am still trying to interperet the dream. It was the second of Hindu Deity

dreams in a short period of time, and I am not a Hindu. I have read quite a

bit since these dreams began, and love what I am learning. I joined this group

in the hope of connecting with others who may be able to offer me some guidance.

I am a caucasian american woman, so I'm sure you can imagine how difficult it

is to get advice on such a subject.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
