I use the form of Black Tara, OM TARA TUTARE TURE SOHA for a mantra.

Om Kali I also was taught, I know that theres specific ways to go

about mantras, and I think and feel if She knows what is in your

heart, there is no wrong way or right way to go about worshipping Her,

just do so. I am in a location that I dont have a way to get to a

Guru's feet to learn, so I sit at Tara's feet, or Kali Ma's when

needed. I have made up my own prayers to Her myself as well and it

has worked really well. Your relationship with Her is yours, adn its

great to get input from others, however its also good to "feel" out

your own way at times too, it makes it more personal, for She likes it

when you tell Her YOU and about you.

 

I mean what I say in the most up most respect adn I hope that this

helps as well.
