Guest guest
Jai Srimannaryana! Sri Jeeyar Swamiji, There are two issues I would like to address in this email: 1. Last summer, I was Blessed to attend Perumal's Garudotsavam in Kanchipuram. It was spritually a very uplifting and inspiring visit for me, one that i will never forget! However, I was disturbed to see the way women were treated within the temple. The most shocking experience was to see members of the Ghosti (who are presumably educated and well-versed in scriptures) verbally abusing women who were waiting for darshan and physically pushing them to the point where they fell on each other. I have heard Your Holiness say on more than one occasion that women should always be respected, especially in the form of Mother. I humbly request Your Holiness to address this issue when visiting Divya Deshams so that the Spiritual Experience in those places is a pleasurable one for All. 2. The second question I have is regarding Perumal's Tirumann kaapu... As you have explained, when Vaishnavas wear Tirumann, it is to represent Perumal's Holy Paadam. Does it represent the same for Him, or does it connote something else when He wears it? adiyen Ramanuja Dasi, Apurva Jai Srimannarayana!
