Sri Asmadgurubyonamaha (Sri Swamiji):

Dear friend Pattangi,

I think you are trying discuss food vs to spritualism.

I do not see any connection between the food and the willPower.

A vegitarian uses the dairy milk, curd,

ghee which are all the animal products. Do you mean to say that

the vegetarians do not have health problems (heart disease, exacerbate

cancer, obesity, impotence, diabetes)??? They do. How do anyone

take care of all these problems is exercise. Even inspite of

doing exercise regularly and with dietary habits irrespective

of vegetarian and non-vegitarians face health problems. That

is the fate ( Karma) which is well explained in holi Bhgavat-Geetha.

Gautama Buddha (Sidhartha) deserted his luxurious life

for the the cause of enlightenment, where as we are all caught

in the web of luxuries, Samsara (which was well explained by

H H Sri Swamiji in his divine Lecture at Nashville Temple on

June 11, 2000). Gautama Buddha preached many things we are not

following every bit of it.

We need the will power to control the pancha indreas

which could be attained by the practicing the sprituality. That

is how a king Vishwamitra practiced spritualism and became a

Raja-Rishi, the great saint of his period, who taught Lord Sri

Rama the Dhaurvidya. Practice, devotion, dedication, controlling

the status of mind will lead to the success of sprituality.
