Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana! Dearest Bhaktas, In meditation, adiyen was posed with the question if there is a significance between the number of chapters in this holy text and the number of chakras in the body. Both have seven. Lord Raama made a journey and Mother Kundalini also makes a journey up the spine. Can our Guruji guide adiyen's thoughts. Peace and blessings be upon you. Respectfully, Adiyen Keshava Ramanuja Dasa _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Priya Sriman KesavaJi! Jai Srimannarayana! Your question about the chakras in the body and the ka:ndas in Sri:ra:ma:yana, is good. There is every possibility in relating the numbers every where with every scripture according to our vedic tradition. But our duty is to what extent we need to accept and start practicing on them. For Sri:ra:ma:yana, the relevance is there where you De:vathas even. That is what that text is trying to give us. Any interpretation must go according to that. If that makes a man passive or inactive from the worldly responsibilities that becomes an evil cage. Most of the people practicing about the chakras etc., keep themselves aloof from the society or make much publicity for the little they have. Both are wrong. Any subject or practice, must make man very efficient in all his endeavour. Anyway, Chakras are only 6 in the body and the kandas are 7 in total. but, without Uttara kanda we can also make them 6. Try to interpret that way. Or you can also say that there are 7 Hills for lord Srinivasa (Ma:nisha:da) and the whole Ra:ma:yana elaborates the greatness ofthe Srinivasa, the Kaliyuga Nayaka only, we can say. Does not it sound good? Jai SRimannarayana! =chinnajeeyar= Get Mail - Free email you can access from anywhere! /
