Dear BhaktAs of Srimannarayana,

 

The need for religiously following Sandhyavandanam is more compelling

in the US more than in India. Having been subjected to perpetual

winterstorm, thunderstorm, snowstorm, floodstorm, firethreats and

many other natural calamities we hardly get to breathe freash air.

This is atleast minimally true in the place where adiyEn lives -

Rochester MN. (In fact there are only 2 other places where such

dearth of pure Oxygen exists : On top of Mt. Everest,

in the fetus). Under these trying ambience, regular practice of

Sandhyavandanam and correct practice of praNAyamam really helps.

 

Methinks Sandhyavandanam is not a mere ritual to appease HIM. It is

one filled with great scientific truth. Each step be it Aachamanam,

Argyam, PraNAyamam, SuryaNamaskaram and even abhivAdanam has profound

physiological impact. When we are physiologically sound, our body is

healthy which leads to mental wellness. Praying, wishing and blessing

under mental wellness has far reaching bliss than we can dream of.
