Vikasa Tarangin, Houston: Monthly Satsang Time: Wednesday, Aug 01,7:30 PM Place: Home of Srinivas and Shanti Speaker: Padmakant Khambati Attendance: 35 adults and 2 young adults We had a very succesful monthly meeting. The meeting started with the group chanting of Sri Sailesha--(Guru Parampara), Lakshmi Strotram and the Vishnu Sahasra Naamam. The chantings were followed by Sriman Padkantji"s discourse. The topic of discussion was " Pancha Sanskara". He began the discourse by defining Sanskara as a preparation of the mind for a higher and nobler status. Pancha Sanskara are Vaishnava Deeksha under taken by an aspiring devotee as intiated by his Acharya. Padmakantji explained the significance of five Sanskars, namely Taapa, Pundra, Naama, Mantra and the Yaga. The topic was well received by the group and the appreciated the sanctity of Pancha Sanskara. Srinivas and Shanti are new members and we thank the young couple for hosting this meeting. Dr. Srinivas Chary Tamirisa made a grand announcement of purchasing the land for the Vedic School to meet the vision of our Pujya Swamiji. We are very excited about this project. We need best wishes from brothers and sisters of JETUSA. We pray for Acharya Kripa and Srimannarayana paripoorna Kripa and Kataaksham for the success of the project.
