Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana!!! I have been reading very informative and enlightening contributions regarding " Who is a real Guru?". Thanks a lot for your contributions. I would like to mention that there is a wonderful text available from our own Ramanuja Vani. The name of the text is "THIRU MANTRA SAARAM". It is writtern by our Pujya Swamiji. The text deals with Shri Parashara Bhattar's " Ashta Shloki" revealing the Three Great Mantras in our Sampradaya. Being a novice and of limited ability, I can not fully express what a great text it is for aspirants like us. It is my punya that I have the opportunity to study " Thiru Mantra Saaram". In this text, as a preliminary preparation to "Ashta Shloki", Swamiji has given the right information concerning the topics in Digests 295 and 303. Some of the topics are: 1)Ardha Panchaka Gyana, five essential meanings of life. 2) Who is an Acharaya? Who is a Shishya?, (Achaya Shishyula Lakshanamulu). The qulities of an ideal Teacher as well as an ideal student are identified. The requirements are so stringent, Lord Srimannarayana, out of compassion took Avatars as an ideal Acharya (Narayana)and as an ideal Shisya (Nara) to establish standards and ideals for the future generations. The text " Thiru Mantra Saaram" is wonderful and will carry us to the next level. The text is in Telugu. For the benefit of Non-Telugu brothers and sisters and our children, the text must be translated in to English. I observe there are very good writers in our group, the likes of Sriman Seshagiri, Sriman Rama Krishna, etc., we can attemt the translation. I will do my best to contribute. We discuss these topics in Vikasa Tarngini meetings in Houston. With humble Pranaams to Jeeyar Swamiji, Jeevan Pulijala
