Guest guest
Hi Ramanuja First of all you have a wonderful name. Second this is a very good question. You have the answer in the question itself. An Acharya/Guru means teacher as you already know. A devotee is a student to the Acharya/Guru and so, the Acharya/Guru not only shows the path and gives knowledge but, a real Acharya/Guru even acts like a MOTHER. There is some thing known as GRACE and you need this, to benefit any technique which you cannot get in a book. Do you know any one who has got enlightened in the library? Without the Grace of a Guru or God/Godess It is not possible to get enlightened or get complete awareness. If you can be 100% in the present moment and develop your listening skills (not hearing) then you would not even need Books or a Guru. luv Ravi Pathak --- wrote: > Jai SrimanNarayana > Message: 1 > Wed, 6 Feb 2002 06:19:39 -0800 (PST) > Ramanuja Satagopan <ramanujausa > Acharya - What does he do for his devotees? > Qs
