Guest guest
Jaisrimannarayana!!! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale saranam!!! Va:lmiki asked,"who is the veeryavan?” ‘Vika:ra’ means ‘ change’ or ‘transformation’.There may be various reasons to get affected by our surroundings or situations. Not to be disturbed (vika:ram)by any such things is ‘veeryam’ The Lord is all pervading .He is present in all the animate and the inanimate, in the meanest of the mean. He is present in all the substances that abound with ‘rajas’ and ‘thamas’. Still He is never touched by any of these qualities. He is always a Pu:rna with all the kalyana gunas. He is always radiant with the supreme ‘jnana’ and extreme ‘ananda’. A human being should also be a ‘veeryava:n’ like that who can mix with all others without any ego. (with sausi:lyam .)One should not allow one’s samska:ra to be affected even while among the creatures with mean qualities. One should not stay away from others with ego and at the same time one should not be changed staying with them. Even when we face a volatile situation, our mind should be strong and undisturbed. SriRama fought with fourteen thousand demons alone with a strong and stable mind. . This is the second necessary quality for any human being . Dharmajna: One who knows and practices dharma is a ‘dhamajna’. Dharma is a means for eternal bliss. It is of two types: ‘Sa:ma:nya dharma’ and ‘Vishe:sha dharma’. Striving for others’ happiness in the society and in turn finding pleasure in their joy is ‘sa:ma:nya dharma.’ A son’s duty towards his father is to keep him happy by behaving in a way that satisfies him and serving him as per his wish and be able to derive pleasure from his father’s happiness. Keeping the ‘devatha:s’ happy by performing ‘yagnas’ and ‘ya:gas’ is ‘pa:ralaukika dharma’.These two dharmas come under ‘sa:ma:nya dharma’. For ‘Parama:thma’ these souls and ‘prakrithi’ are like His Divine Body. The human beings should remember the fact that they are ordained by the Lord to do only His service but not to work independently towards their own selfish ends and offer every act of theirs’ to Him as His service and for His happiness. This is ‘vishe:sha dharma’. Human beings should know these two dharmas. SriRama behaved in such a manner that gave happiness to his father, mother, brothers, elders and friends. This gave him immense joy. SriRama pleased the devatha:s by performing ‘yagnas’ and ‘yagas’.(rituals and sacrifices) He performed his duties according to the God ‘s wish and favour. So SriRamachandra is a ‘dharmajna’. SriRama is a ‘dharmajna’ not only as a ‘nara’(human being) but as the ‘Para’(Lord) too…. Bhagavan’s main dharma is ‘srishti sthithi laya’ and protection. Protecting those who surrender unto him ignoring however they may be is His dharma. This is only ‘parathva’. To be continued .............
