Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana! With the benevolence of HH Shri Jeeyar Swa:mi:ji and His guidance, I would like to continue from my previous posting on secrets of Sri:mad Ra:ma:yanam as revealed by Shri Swa:mi:ji .. There exists a DM (Doubt Master) in our minds, who always raises doubts about practically almost any thing in the world. Even if Lord Sri:manna:ra:yana appears before us with Sankham, Chakram, Gada, Sa:rngam in His divine form, our DM (doubt master) may not believe. It may raise a doubt and ask for credentials. That is why Lord appropriately said, that He needs to be certified by an A:cha:rya. Not only that, He has to be prescribed by an A:cha:rya, He has to be shown to us by an A:cha:rya and we have to be led to Him by an A:cha:rya. To perform all such functions, an A:cha:rya must have gone through this process before, from His poorva:cha:rya:s. How His poorva:cha:rya:s know, DM raises a question again. >From their poorva:charya:s and so on. Who is the originator of this chain ? Lord Srimanna:ra:yana himself. He is A:cha:rya to mother Lakshmi. He has taken A:cha:rya, disciple role models as Nara and Na:ra:yana. He became an A:cha:rya to the whole world at large as recently as 5200 years ago in His Sri: Krishna avata:ram. DM raises another question again, how can you believe that if one person declares himself as the Lord and prescribes Himself as Lord and certify Himself as Lord too ? It is not He who declares himself as Lord, it is Ve:da:s declaring Lord Sri:manna:ra:yana as the supreme. How come ve:da:s know, ve:da:s are not told by any. They are self revealed. They are 'apourushe:ya:s'. These kind of doubts started coming with less and less divinity exhibited by humans in kaliyuga. We have very less trust, faith and belief nowadays. Our ancestors, people in past yugas had more belief and faith in words and deeds so they stop needless doubting at one point or other. But in these days as Swa:mi:ji: said where "even pollution is polluted" it is hard to believe any thing. That is why Lord has become a disciple to a great A:cha:rya "HH Sri Manava:la Maha:muni", as recently as 6-7 centuries ago. Lord Himself from Sri: Vaikuntham, whom even upanishat said it has no words to describe ("Yatho: va:cho: nivartante: apra:pya manasa: saha"), has come down to this A:cha:rya and learnt from Him the essence of all Ve:da:s (Divya prabandham). How great is our A:cha:rya ! Our www.bhakthinivedana.org contains the pictures where "Sri Manava:la Maha:muni Brinda:vanam" is believed to exist. (Brinda:vanam is a place where the divine body of a saint is kept after He attains mo:ksham) As per that story, even now (after some centuries) only Tulasi grows there. Lord himself has sung a thanian praising this A:cha:rya. Shall we remember that thanian one more time, Sri:saile:sa daya: pa:tram dhi: bhktya:di guna:rnavam | Yati:ndra pravanam vande: ramyaja:ma:taram munim || Do we have a tanian sung by Lord praising Vasishta Maharshi or Viswa:mitra Maharshi to whom he was a disciple in Sri: Ra:ma avataram ? Do we have a tanian sung by Lord praising Sa:ndeepani Rishi to whom he was a disciple in Sri: Krishna avata:ram ? We do not know. When we have a whole Ra:ma:yanam or Bha:ratam or Bha:gavatam describing every single act of the Lord, how come we are missing the very important A:cha:rya tanian ? This will lead us to believe that may be those Rishis were just performing the function of 'guru' to Lord, and not real 'A:cha:rya:s'. Let us request Sri Swa:mi:ji: to enlighten us in this aspect. However, we are very fortunate to have born after Lord has shown to us such great A:cha:rya. Moreso, we are extremely lucky to be disciples of that guru parampara which has "HH Sri: Manava:la Maha:muni" as a bright jewel in the acha:rya ratna ha:ram. In fact we are even luckier to be disciples of Sri: Swa:miji from that great lineage. We are luckiest that HH is showering us with His divine words week after week committing Himself to uplift us from this vicious circles of life. His attempt is the only one which matters and all of us are blessed by such a kind act of our Swa:mi:ji. So let us pray at the lotus feet of our A:cha:rya one more time, Visishta:dwaita siddha:nta pracha:raika viha:rine: | Sri:manna:rayana:cha:rya swa:mine: nitya mangalam || Now, after listening to Sri: Swa:mi:ji's pravachanam about Ahalya and Va:lmi:ki episodes of Sri: Ra:ma:yanam, the Doubt Master has got few questions. Did you also get some ? Let us examine those in our next posting. Jai Sri:manna:ra:yana!
