Digest Number 344 (Question on Ramayana)

Jai Sriman Narayana,

 

I wanted to briefly put my points related to the

question on Ramayana by Sri Pratap.

 

1) Lord is not bound by Karma. He comes out of love

towards us and teaches us the way to live properly,

like He did in Sri Rama avataram. So sweet is that

avataram, but still doesn't appeal to many.

 

2) Lord feels sad, when jIvA's close to Him are

seperated from Him. It may be due to the Karma of

jIvAtmAs. Lord feels pain when his beloved are

seperated from Him. He ofcourse tries to get them back

to Him and for this He takes incarnations as all our

AAcharyas also. But jIvAs many a time do not know the

reason for their suffering ( it is actually seperation

from the Lord ) and are bewildered in trying to search

for happiness in all unworthy forms.

 

3) There were disbelievers even when the Lord was

present as Sri Rama on this earth and there are so

many secular pandits now. But the greatness of Sri

Rama was that even disbelievers and people who were

against him, could not speak bad of Him during His

time.

 

4) It is unfortunate that even after the Lord came

down for our sake, we people create stories that He

worshipped some other deity whom nobody saw on this

earth till date. Some how, we want complicated things

in life. The one who is before us is not the supreme (

he is a mere mortal ). But some Unknown power some

where in some unknown world is the supreme for us. We

are sometimes believers of Sri Rama also!.

 

5) Another thing is that Lord's ways are best known to

Him. He knows best what to do at what time. Some of

his actions cannot be comprehended by limited minds

like me. But for our sake, our AAcharyas who were

blessed by Lord ( or should I say, who were

incarnations of the Lord ), explained the subtle

details of Sri Ramayanam. The ongoing series of Sri

Ramayana tatvadIpika is one of them. So first we

should read such articles and such works by our

AAcharyas thru their grace. Understand them correctly

thru the correct intrepretations of our AAcharyas.

 

Above this, I am not competent to answer specific

queries. Forgive me for my mistakes.
