Sri Rama had a clear knowledge of various things and could pass on the same

to all. He is 'Vichakshana' as he could identify the mutual differences in

things. Bhagavan is also 'Vichakshana'. He is a 'Vichakshana' because He is

knowledgeable about the most minute of variations of 'jeevakarma' (karma of

the souls) and accordingly associates the jeeva:s with the bodies.

 

Sri Rama was always being worshipped by 'sathpurusha:s'. He usually used to

spend his leisure time with the elders while taking instruction in 'asthra

vidya'. It was not Rama who was meeting the 'sathpurushas' but it was they

who used to come to Him on their own like the 'rivers joining the ocean'.

The rivers join the ocean not to bring glory to the ocean but to prevent the

wastage of their water and safeguard their existence. Likewise

'sathpurushas' joined SriRama in order to protect their entity but not to

enhance His magnificence. In fact by joining Srirama, the sathpurushas were

honoured and it was not the other way round. His greatness is natural and

original. There is no one to surpass him in his 'gunas'. The sathpurusha:s

joined him to improve their qualities. This secret has been revealed by

Va:lmiki by using the simile

 

'samudra ivasindhubhihi'

-like the rivers joining the sea.

 

Bhagavan is also worshipped by sathpurushas. Those who realize the existence

of 'brahma' are sathpurushas. Such sathpurushas , who aspire to keep their

entity intact only surrender to the Lord but not to add dignity to Bhagavan.

Thus how far the 'bhagavadgunas' can be cultivated by a human being for

protecting the humanity has been taught by Sri Rama who is none other than

the Bhagavan in the garb of a human.

 

SriRama is 'A:rya'. One who has the common sense to be close to 'dharma' and

away from 'adharma' is a:rya . Dharma is enunciated by Veda:s. One should

have the strong conviction to cultivate and follow 'vedavihitha dharma' and

to renounce the 'nishiddha karma' . Sri Rama is a:rya since he followed this

path.

 

This is the attribute of Bhagavan. His way of doing things is in accordance

with the principles of Vedas. Vedas are the authentic source to know about

Bhagavan. Bhagavan is close to the Vedas and is away from the adharma that

are in conflict with the Vedas. Hence Bhagavan is A:rya. A human being

should also follow dharma in the same manner. Being an A:rya is being human,

and not being an Arya (Ana:rya) indicates devilish nature (Asuratvam).
