We are at present in rishikesh idsn the trip to Badarinath. How are you

doing there? We are planning to visit Austrelia during the ending part of

January 2003. While going are coming back, we want to hault in Singapore

also. Soon after fixing the schedule, we will let you know the details.

The Githa Jyothi has a 5 fold activity. 1. Realizing the truth: For this we

have two sloguns which are to be understood. a) WORSHIP YOUR OWN & RESPECT

ALL. As you worship your own mother and respect all ladies. You worship you

won father and respect all other male persons. YOu shouldnot say that all

males are one or all fathers are equal. So also you never say that all

mothers are equal and one. You never worship anyother woman other than you

own mother. The same way you should worship a form of God you liked or you

have been given by your Guru or welwisher, and respect all other forms of

the same God. You need not worship all, saying that all are equal, not you

need to insult other forms of God also. This realisation is needed by all

religions now, at the world scenario. Particularly this is needed by the

people who believe in Vedas also, who fight between Vishnu, Siva, Sakthi

etc. too.

 

b) Serve all beings as service to God, should be the policy. commonly people

say that 'serve humanity as service to God' is not that right, for all

other species appearing on this earth are nothing but the creation of God

Himself and He dwells in all of these objects. When God is there in

everything then you serve to any being that automatically becomes the

service to God only. You need not limit that to Humanity only. This

realisation is a must to everyone.

 

2. To have a confidence and faith in our ownself either to realize or to

practice something, we need to have a "self-assessment programme" for which

we prepared 3 charts for a regular practice, for one year minimum.

 

3. We need to communicate good to other in our society. Knowing something

good, and hiding in our own heart, does not do good to our own self also. To

communicate, the best source is none else than Bhagavad Githa, available

with wonderful messages in each of its' slokas. We try to pick-up that

message, as and how we understood. Our duty is to pass it on to as many

people as posssible. Down-trodden people are do be given this information,

first, for they are missing a lot from our main stream. So we asked people

to learn one sloka a week. thus 4 slokas in a month and 48 slokas in one

year. Though all the slokas are precious, yet, we have to confine to 48

slokas only. Hence we chose very important slokas for practice, which are

displayed in our web page.

 

4. We need to serve other deserved people by somany ways viz., giving them

medical help, education etc., We chose 4 items in this field. a) conducting

vision-check-up to children in all school of Andhra Pradesh as first phase.

b)conducting dental-chick-up to children in all schools. c)health-chick-up

to women in villages, and d)veterenory camps to reduce the cow-slaughtering

etc.,

 

5. See that someone will continue the mission, after you informed in a

place to some people. For which, you need to prepare or choose some person

in each place and educate that person, with this ideology. Here in India,

Andhra Pradesh, we are going to villages where there are Bhajan Mandals with

good number of youths. We want to pick up a few persons from among them and

give them the needed training to continue the activity there.

 

"GITHA JYOTHI" is not just chanting a few slokas. But it has an IDEOLOGY

behind it and that is UNIVERSAL. We are sure that you understood the

concept & core of the programme. We need to approach every person, make one

to understand, which is very very.... difficult, give some literature,

which is very expansive and we need to publish, a lot of money is required,

for nothing is published free here, right!.... all the 3 charts are to be

published, all the slokas are to be published and distributed at free only.

No one buys. Even if we ask them to practice something of this kind, they

get bored, then how do they purchase and get the pain of making some

excersize? So we need to give everything material at free only. This needs a

lot of money. Our target for this year is 20 million people in Andhra

Pradesh itself. In other states also people are interested in joining the

programme. That is extra number than what we are planning for Andhra

Pradesh.

 

So my friend! this is something about the Githa Jyothi, what we are

conducting here. If you are interested in promoting any part of this

activity you are wel-come, heartily. "Come on" let us join our hands in

promoting Good in the society, for the sake of God.

I have read briefly the website on Gita Jyothi.

I am sad to say that I have not been consistent

with the sadhana. I would however like to start.

Could swami pls advise as to how I can participate

in Githa Jyothi.I understand that there are a

total of 48 Shlokas....Do i recite one shloka a

week at a particular time in my koil azhvar or do

I gather some devotees and do it together?

Pls let me know.
