SRIMATHE RAMANUJAYA NAMAHA

Regarding my previous posting on whether or not the

woman is required to keep herself away for those three

days in a month, let me give more information on the

topics discussed, namely, Agnihotra and Kirlian

photography (it is not Kirlean but Kirlian; the

mistake in my spelling in the original message is

regretted)

Interested persons can refer the following web sites

for more info.

Priya Sriman Bhadraihji!

Jai Srimannarayana!

Your dealing with this subject is wonderful.

All traditions have their own relevance. Science

is so prematured even today. One theory

established today, will be condemned tomorrow

and both of them get noble prizes. That is

the funny part of the science. Our traditions

are time-tested by our Vedic Seers and everyone

of them has a reason. We are still unable to

reason them out and explain in a so-called

scientific way, so, better to follow them as

they are ordained.

First, let the practice prevail. Then a day might

definitely come, when we can atleast try to test

the practice with the available knowledge of science.

If the practice itself goes into vain, then there

may not be any chance to test even. We can only

appreciate the greater deapths of knowledge of our

Vedic Seers, in somany ways, they laid the deepest

scientific realities, into the practice of our

day-to-day life. At the same time, one need not be

looked down by the other, who is not blessed with

some practice. Men are not blessed to give birth to

a baby, you see! It is only the woman who is bless

to become "THE MOTHER". How great that mother-hood is.

Let every person realize their own greatness and

practice their own duties.

Bhadraiah Mallampalli

Namaste Indraniji,

Everything in the nature is creation of the divine,

including the periods of women. There is no need

for apology or guilt. At the same time we should

not reject the restrictions within the traditions

just because some of the restrictions acquired

narrow meanings today. I guess the real meaning of

the restrictions was forgotten.

The beauty of our traditions is that the concept

of sin is not externally imposed. It must be tackled

internally by ourselves. Every fraction of second we

are fighting between dharma and adharma within our

mind; and we must let dharma win every fraction of a

second. But how to define dharma or adharma within

such minute micro-second time frame? We can only do

it by harmonizing our body and mind and doing justice

to every part of the system and not do injustice to

any part. If we condemn a woman's period as lowly,

it is not justice. A man or a woman is not doing

justice to himself/herself by such condemnation.

Regards

Bhadraiah
