Guest guest
Dear Jeeyar Educational Trust, 1. Where are the various Vedic Schools located? 2. What are the various Vedas that are taught? Are the meanings of Vedas taught too? 3. What is the course curriculum? 4. What is the fees/scholarship structure? 5. Is philosphy taught at the schools? 6. What are the 'other' subjects that are covered? 7. What is the duration of education and are there any age considerations? 8. Does Jeeyar Educational Trust identify proper students who will then be trained to become Jeeyars? 9. What is the course duration and does the Jeeyar personally meet the students? Sorry for the trouble. I checked the website and didn't find all the answers. Thank You
Guest guest
Priya Sriman Rushikesa Madhava ! Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha Mangalasasanams of HH Sri Jeeyar Swamiji We are happy for your interest in knowing about the details about Jeeyar Educational Trust and its activities. All the details are available at www.chinnajeeyar.org/jet.htm You may click on 'About' link on the main page and then click on JET link in the left pane, to see all the details about JET. Depending on the Veda, it nearly takes 10 to 12 years to complete one Vedam in full. Children who belong to a particular Vedam and who passes the preliminary test will be given training in their Vedam. Children in the age group of 6-12 years will be taken for studying Vedam. Jeeyar Educational Trust is supported by the Generous donors whose hearts are dedicated to the noble purpose of Vedic Education and Research. Education, Accommodation, Food,Clothing etc. are all given free throughout the study of the student. The study and the activities of each student are personally monitored by HH Sri Swamiji every now and then and regularly through their Gurus. As the students are more associated with the activities of JET they involve more into the philosophical subjects. However, if a student is more interested, after completing the Vedic study he can pursue the study of Vedantha etc. Students were taught Sanskrit, Regular Sthothras and also they were introduced with the modern subjects like English, science etc. Students were also taught the Computer subjects. Philosophy is also taught in the school during special sessions conducted by His Holiness Sri Swamiji. Jeeyar Educational Trust doesn't mean that it trains students to become Jeeyars. The aim of JET is to mould each student into a perfect man who does his duties 'well' as worship to God and in turn serve the society to his best, as service to God. JET is dedicated to accomplish this task basing on the Vedic foundations as passed on to us by the Grand lineage of our Great Acharyas.
