With the blessings of HH Sri Sri Sri Jeeyar Swami, we had

assembled at the residence of Alivelu and Ranga Kadalam.

We had a group chanting of Guru parampara, Lakshmi Ashtotram

and Sri Vishnu Sahasra Namam.

 

We were fortunate to have the presence of Sriman Venkatesan

Iyengar. He gave a spontaneous and inspiring talk. Following

the Vishnu Sahasra Naamam, he talked about phala sruthi of the

stotram, blessing the devotees with various benefits. He urged

the devotees to have a single pointed devotion towards one's

Ishta Devata. He quoted from Bhagavad Gita and from the

teachings of varoius Alwars, the suppremacy of Sriman Narayana.

It is better to chant and meditate the thousand names of one

Srimannarayana instead of chanting the names various gods. He

gave his blessings to the group and his presence was inspiring.

 

This was our summer meeting at a special time to accomodate

chldren. The group thanked our gracious hosts Alivelu and Ranga.

Architect's preliminary plans for the Vedic School/Ashta Lakshmi

Temple were available.
