Upade:sam means 'a manthram' by meditating upon which one will be saved from problems. Another meaning of this word is 'initiation to a seeker by a guru' 2. Urge to know the real things, is only the qualification. Whenever this urge forces, one approaches to a learned person, in that particular field, show his curiousity to know that whetever he is interested in. Whatever rules and regulations that guru ordains to this seeker, will be followed by this him with obedience and loyality. That is all the basic need, no other needs like money, caste, creed etc. 3. Getting the Upade:sam is only the job of a disciple.
