Guest guest
Priya Sriman, Similar queries were deftly answered by Scholars in the past. The restriction was due to not being able to perform "Sandhyavandanam" when travelling on a Ship, etc. But not anymore, if one is willing to perform his/her rituals. H.H. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami doesn't even partake a sip of water while travelling on Air from India until he lands and does His "Sandhyavandana/Aradhana in between". The hardship HH is put to so the humanity all around the world can have the wonderful experience and elevaltion of their inherent spirituality is beyond comprehension. So the question of foregoing anything doesn't arise, as far as H.H is concerned! Imagine not having any food for days together?? If possible try it (no water, no food for 48+ hours) Here's something we should ponder over: What should we do if the place we live in is flooded? Move to a safer place? What if an entire Nation is flooded? Would the restrictions still hold? What's happening in the world right now is sort of a catastrophe that, a disease that is silently eating up the society everywhere. To see it logically, the whole of mother Earth is flooded with the Ocean of pure Materialism/ materialistic spiritualism and/or poor representation of Hindu/ Vedic rituals and values around the world. More so are the sinking spiritual values! Over the past couple of thousand years, India constantly was invaded by alien religions, plundering people and Vedic civilization to near extinction. While Great Acharyas like Sankaracharya, Ramanujacharya have reestablished the faith, we are conquered again in the name of global flooding of Materialism. Which is not bad but that it lacks the essence of spiritualism as the core. What our Achryas are trying to do right now is to try and save us from the floods, wherver we are stranded. And Thanks to all of them! Guest guest
Dear Member, This is common question. Lord Shri Rama crossed seas. Whatever we see is distorted versions(such as forbiding sea travel). Thus, crossing seas is not forbidden. Best Regards, VR > There was a time when Ordinary Vedics were even forbidden > to go out of the Country. Those who went outside the country > crossing the sea were treated as Brashtas. Guest guest
srimathE raamanujaaya namaha | jeeyar thivadigaLe saranam Dear Bagavathas, AdiyEn would like to share my views on Overseas travel of Vedics.. If we go thru the History of old civilizations of the world, we are able to see that they had followed our culture and way of worshipping etc. This is applicable to Australian Bushmen, Kelts, Druids, Arabia, Egypt, Rome etc. There should have been no restriction for LEARNED people to go across seas those days. Due to this, there could have been a BRAIN DRAIN in the source (that is our country, bharatham). Hence they should have brought the restriction for learned men going across seas. This is adiyEn's opinion. And moreover we have aapath dharmam and gowna dharmam. Lord Sri Rama too went by foot when he started to Lanka. But please note that he flew back while returning to Ayodhya fearing the delay would cause BHARATHA's Suicide.. So for the rescue of people from this ethnic world and to take the message of GREAT RAMANUJA to the Entire world, there is nothing wrong. adiyEn daasan | Nanmaaran
