Original Sutra:

15. avan dhUrasthananAnAlum ithu kitti ninRu uthavum.

 

Meaning:

Even if He, who is the meaning of the word, is far away, this

Thirumanthra, which is the word, will stay close and will give

that which those who recite it seek.

 

Sri PBA Swami's Sarartha Deepikai:

How can we say that the the word which speaks of Him is greater

than Him?

It is because of the fact that even at the times that He is far

away and not easily reached, the Thirumanthra stays closeby and

gives to those who keep uttering it what they wish to have.
