Guest guest
Dear Sriman Rajmohanka, adiYEn is not sure if HH Sri Jeeyar Swamy will agree with the views in the "The Royal Chronology" available on your website http://www.dharmicscriptures.com. For example, It mentions hanumAn as a human being. adiYEn has heard HH Jeeyar telling clearly that hanumAn was from vAnara(monkey) generation. Request HH Jeeyar Swamiji to kindly give his views on the entire document. Regards, Aravind Raman > Re: Puranic Encyclopedia Folio CD > > Yes, I came upon that item too and ordered the CD. > I look forward to studying it. > - Raj Mohanka > Pl. Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana | Please don't distort Dharmic scriptures. If people distort other religious books like Bible or Quran they would have been prosecuted or beheaded by now. Even if you bring out the delicate/controversial aspects of the 'other books' they make sure they destroy the evidence & the source. Please seek clarifications before making your own interpretations from learned qualified saints who follow the Purvacharyas. Guest guest
All, To begin with, I am not trying to "distort" Dharmic Scriptures, but rather document them and post them for the public's convenience. Regarding the attitude of hardline Christians and Muslims with the Bible and Quran, I think we all agree that it is deplorable. Part of having a genuine interest and love of Sanatana Dharma is to study and to question. Only by questioning do we all learn. Blind acceptance of any one opinion has historically been very negative to all societies in the long run. As far as sources go, I have based my Royal Chronology timeline on a number of sources, the primary of which are the books by the Sanskritist and historian, Dr. P.L. Bhargava. Please read his books before passing judgement. In addition, the information about Hanuman (that the name of his people - 'Vahner' was pronounced as 'Vanara' in Sanskrit and thus the monkey mythology grew from there) is present in many books - including the ones at http://www.hinduscriptures.org If you believe Angirasa Muni at HinduScriptures.org is "distorting" Dharmic Scriptures, please cc: me in that discussion. He is a Pundit in his 80s and has created a 12 volume Encyclopedia of Hinduism after decades of work with a team of scholars. I'm sure he will be happy to answer any of your questions. If you have some names and contact information for 'qualified saints who follow the Purvacharyas', please provide that information. I'd be happy to contact them. - Raj Mohanka , "rrrd 9999" <rrrd9999@h...> wrote: > Jai Srimannarayana | > > Please don't distort Dharmic scriptures. Guest guest
Raj Mohanka, Obeisance to Holy Lotus Feet! Sorry about dealy in response; actually never received the digest from for some reason. You are doing one of the greatest services anyone can ever do. It was just a request on my behalf and not an allegation. Personally in my opinion Hanuma is a Wow!-Nara (pun intended). He was so special that people may have explained "Is he really a Nara (human)! His capabilities are beyond imagination and so felt Lord Rama too. But my personal opinion doesn't carry any weight as every interpretation should be based on Purvacharya Commentries as they are the certified practitioners. A neuro surgeon can operate on certain things while an engineer can do something else. HH Sri Jeeyar Swami is one of the most respected authorities in various scriptures. HH Jeeyar has mastered all Vedas and has tremendous Vedic, Sanskrit & Scripture knowledge. At the same time HH also has mastered the Tamil/Telugu scriptures. HH has a Vedic School where several students are trained in Gurukul fashion in Vedas and Scriptures under his personal guidance. Good news is that this year about 8+4 students are graduating after 8 to 15 years of training in Vedas under HH's personal guidance and teaching. HH Jeeyar has dedicated libraries, and a panel of saints who may be able to guide your great work. HH Jeeyar is currently in Sithanagarm (according to the web site) and HH Jeeyar would be very happy to assist you as always. Contact numbers as per the web site http://www.chinnajeeyar.org are: Jeeyar Educational Trust, Vedic University, Sithanagaram, Guntur Dist. 522501 Andhra Pradesh , India Tel: 011-91-8645-72929 Let the Divine guide us and make us take the right path! > - Raj Mohanka wrote ... > To begin with, I am not trying to "distort" Dharmic > Scriptures, but rather document them and post them > for the public's convenience. > >>>>>>>> > If you have some names and contact information for > 'qualified saints who follow the Purvacharyas', please > provide that information. Guest guest
Thank you for this reply. I went to the website you mentioned and I am very impressed with all of the Svamiji's work. We certainly need more leaders like HH. I will contact HH Jeeyar Swami and see if he or anyone there can help me. I would really appreciate any help I can get in this large task I've taken upon myself. Thanks, - RAJ , "rrrd 9999" <rrrd9999@h...> wrote: > Raj Mohanka, > HH Sri Jeeyar Swami is one of the most respected authorities > in various scriptures. Guest guest
Priya Sriman ! Jai Srimannarayana ! It is not right that va:nara is va:h and nara:. It is vaa Nara only. Vaanara is monkey species only. They being born as amsa of devathas, they can take any form they wish - So only, we can see that Hanuman chose to take human form when he first met Sri Rama - It is only vaanara not va:h nara. Even now, if we see monkeys they act as naraas. Looking at them there will always be a doubt to the human beings that 'are these nara:s ?!! ' Was this species the origin of human beings? That is the reason why Darwin thought that man descended from monkey. Suspicion will always be there for which in sanskrit they say vaa! Naraas(human beings) are not descendents of va:nara:s. Nara:s are separate species and Va:nara:s are separate species. Man did not descend from monkeys. As monkey appears as a human being, 'Is it human ?' is the doubt we have. So it became vaa nara:. There is no doubt that Hanuman was a monkey only and not a human being. =chinnajeeyar= [] Sunday, September 29, 2002 2:40 PM [Jeeyar Educational Trust] Digest Number 514 3.
