Sabari seeking SriRama’s permission to start her

journey back to her guru's holy feet prayed, “Swami!

Please give me in writing as evidence that I worshipped

you.” Then Sri Rama wrote “Sabarya: pu:jithaha samyak”

meaning ‘Sabari worshipped well’. Sabari told SriRama,

“If You don’t put your signature it would not carry any

value since the end signature is vital for any letter.

So please sign the letter and give it back to me.” Then

He signed as ‘ra:maha’

 

“There are many with the same name as you. So to make

it clear please mention your father’s name”. Then he

added ‘DaSaratha:thmajaha’. He said he was the son of

Dasarattha. This sloka had been explained thus.

 

After worshipping Sri Rama, Sabari attained her Acharya:’s

lotus feet. Sri Rama reached Pampa: region along with

Lakshmana.
