Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana! I just came to know that in the telugu daily "Va:rta:" (www.vaarttha.com) Sunday edition our HH Swamiji is giving answers to devotees questions. The three questions posted this week are related to current Gitajyoti slokams. (http://www.vaarttha.com/magazine/Divine.html) In the same Sunday Edition, I have come across another article in Telugu 'Oh My God!' written by Malladi. The contents are very interesting on the lines of Personality Development charts. The article was recommending to practice the following qualities if we want to progress on the spiritual path. - let us not hurt anyone with our words/deeds/thoughts even for fun - let us not steel anyone else's things - let us not accept things/service/money for free from anyone - let our relationships be pure with everyone - let us not indulge in gossip or unncessary chat (Gossip is dangerous because unknowingly we may be speaking half/untruths or accusing others or become a passive acceptor for such things which will increase our karma balance) Like a budget for our monthly expenses, we should be careful in our daily life also in thoughts, words and actions. Only when we watch our words, and estimate the necessity before we express or commit such actions, we can avoid most of the unwanted things. Just a not-well-thought half-truth which slipped from our mouth is enough to setback our progress significantly. 99% of the time it is the Indriya:s which will tempt us to do so many things. Let us be aware of such deceptions. Let us spend our spare time in reading about Lord and His wonderful ways. Or if we have to read something else, let us experience Lord in that literature. Let us experience 'Ma:dhava Se:va' in each of our actions. Before meditation or puja, let us have satsang or bhajans or prayers for at least 30 minutes - which will increase our concentration. Help and service to others, especially those who can not do anything in return/exchange is a noble quality which will cleanse our hearts. So, let us once again rededicate in following personality development charts to improve ourselves. Jai Srimannarayana! Murali Krishna Kalvapudi.
