Q)

Who is a:cha:rya?

A)

Parents are the people who give physical birth.

It is the a:cha:rya who gives us the actual birth

by making us realise the purpose of life.

Q)

How does an a:cha:rya give us birth? Can you please

clarify?

A)

jna:nam is always existent in us. But it is in

a dormant state. Acharya is the parent who makes

us realize our true self, what our goal should

be, the true form of the Supreme, our goal of

attaining the Supreme, the means to attain the

goal, what are the hindrances in attaining the

goal and how to get rid of them.

Q)

How does an A:cha:rya give us birth?

A)

A:cha:rya gives us the birth via Upade:sam.

A disciple is initiated by an a:cha:rya. It is

said the mantra is the Mother and Guru is the

Father. So it is through initiation of Thirumantra

and giving us the true meanting of the mantra that

an acharya gives us birth.

Q)

So, once again, how do we reach our goal?

A)

Due to Lord's grace one will be blessed with an

a:cha:rya. An a:cha:rya gives the Thirumantra.

If one gets Thirumantra, one can attain Bhagava:n.

Once Bhagava:n is attained one can get to Vaikuntam.

The prerequisite is complete surrenderance to a:cha:rya.

Q)

Finally, what leads one to mo:ksha?

A)

It is complete devotion in the lotus feet of a:cha:rya

that awards us parampada. Sri VaraVaru Muni mentions

this in one of His works.
