Detailed Interpretation with the poem :

1) Before the hen signalled the morning : Before our AchArya warned us.

 

How can the hen be taken to be an AchArya?.

a) AchArya picks up the divine qualities of the Lord from the vEdAs and enjoys

them just like the hen searches and picks the food grains.

b) The hen has two wings. Similarly, AchArya has two wings, one knowledge and

the other , devotion to Lord & righteous life. Using these wings, the AchArya

flies to great heights.

 

2) We have come to take a dip in the lake :

We have come to take a dip in this lake called samsAram (world).

 

3) The round & opulent sun has dawned :

Sunlight sets in with the sun rise. This light is the light of knowledge. After

getting this knowledge, we have realized, in what kind of a terrible state we

are in.
