Guest guest
{This is the traslation of this week's Gita Jyothi Sloka graced by our Jeeyar swami in Bhakthinivedana} mayye:va mana a:dhathsva mayi buddhim nive:saya | nivasishyasi mayye:va atha u:rdhvam na samsayaha mayi aeva = In ME alone manah = the manass a:dhathsva = keep fixed buddhim = buddhi mayi = in Me alone nive:Saya = let it enter athah u:rdhvam ae:va = only after that mayi = In Me nivasishyasi = you will dwell samSayah = doubt na = not there. This splendid human existence is framed to spend the life rendering Bhagavan's service. He gave the manas. He gave us the indriya:s; blessed us with a proper body. He presented a fitting 'buddhi' to lead that manas. If these things are properly utilized, Bhagavan says, He would bless one with His sa:nnidhyam (closeness). There is no better fecility than this. We let our life slither into miseries by doing many types of acts. Every action of ours becomes an obstacle and pulls us down. Actually, the one that binds is called 'karma', and the one that does not bind is called 'amrithathvam' In the 7th sloka of the twelfth chapter, Bhagavan says, 'aham uddhartha: bhava:mi'. I will lift you up from this 'samsa:ra sa:garam' which is equivalent to death. The ship as said by Bhagavan as'aham' is named as 'vishnupo:tham' by sa:sthra:s. Vishnu means, they said, the all pervading thathvam. This all pervasiveness is wonderful. This is like the bridge that connects both the shores. So if we start our journey by climbing onto it we can happily reach the opposite shore. If this human body is the boat given by God, we should call it that 'vishnupo:tham'. If Bhagavan is willing to ride this boat then reaching the destination becomes very easy. It would be possible to attain the Ultimate without any obstacles. Lord is always dear to us. He has enormous liking for us and wants to help us out . Some people always cry, 'How much injustice Bhagavan had done in our case!'But actually a lot more had to happen but He had limited it with only that much. But because it was difficult to bear that, we accuse Bhagavan and lament why He had done like this. Not only that. Even if He leaves us and does not bother about us, there is nothing we can do. But without leaving us, He is protecting us. We don't know how drastic were the sins and mistakes we committed in our earlier births. But He is always there with a single minded devotion and determination to eradicate them. What we have to do is recognising Him. Focussing our manas on Him.Believing Him with our buddhi as the Supreme complete person.
