Guest guest
Sri Krishna Parabrahmane Namaha: [ This is the translation of Gita Jyothi Week No.33 Sloka graced by our Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami Varu in Bhakthi Nivedana ] yasma:nno: dvijathe: lo:kaha lo:ka:nno: dvijathe: cha yaha | harsha: marsha bhayo:dve:gaihi muktho: yas sa cha me: priyaha || yasmath - because of whom lo:kaha - the world na udvijathe: - doesn't get frustrated lo:ka:th cha - because of the world yaha - He who harsha: marsha Bhayo:dve:gaihi - happiness, anger, fear and worries muktaha - relieved sacha - such a person me: - for me priyaha - is likable There are a lot of people in the world who Love Bhagwan. But who does the Paramatma love ? Is it better for Bhagwan to love us ? Or is it better for us to love Bhagwan and run after Him ? There have been lot of people in the world since time immemorial who have worked incessantly for reaching Bhagwan. - there are sages who have done Tapas for thousands of years, they left their homes and lived in forests - but still couldn't attain Him. When Lord Rama went to the forest, there were a number of Munis and Rishis - Rishis who couldn't achieve much inspite of doing penance for thousands of years, who were weak after all their incessant efforts and intense thought. Sri Ramayana explains that Rama granted Darshan for all such Munis. The Rishis were able to meet Lord Rama not because of their OWN efforts but only because of SriRama's Grace. There were numerous people who yearned for Ramachandra. But who did SriRama yearn for? With his own effort he only met Sabari, He also saw Guha. He showered his grace on Sugreeva. He graced just Vibheeshana. If Bhagwan himself accepts us, then our purpose of life will be fulfilled. In the 12 Chapter of Bhagawadgita, Bhagwan said, if you act thus I will be fond of you. " Sacha mE priyaha, samE priyaha " - he reiterated many times that I like such people "intensely", I will never desert them, I am fond of such disciples a lot. It will be very rewarding if we can follow the path Bhagwan has suggested and try to attain those qualities. Attaining all the qualities may or may not be possible, however pracitising even a few will make Him happy. There are in fact 48 of such qualities mentioned in Gita. " Even if you follow one of them, I will love you" , said Lord Krishna. Why shouldn't we make an attempt to live in a manner so that He loves us ? Lets all try and understand the 15th sloka from 12th Chapter this 33rd week. Lets practice it and convert ourselves worthy of His love. More in the next edition...
