Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam! The sathva guna makes everything radiant. When sathva guna is predominating whatever is there in the mind is not be hidden, but it shines. Thamo:guna hinders one’s sight to view what is present in every thing. It raises waves of lust and hate sky-high and drowns one in grief. But sathva guna is pure and gives the vision to view anything upto the ‘brahmam’ that lies therein. The waters of Tamasa are like the manas of such a ‘sanmanushya’. This is the nature of Valmiki maharshi’s manas. That’s why he is showing the river waters as the example. One who wintnesses the entire universe as the divine body of the Lord will not show any distinctions. If a thing or a bird or a person is one part of the Lord then another will be another limb. Hence what ever pain one part experiences will be felt by the other parts too. One who had experienced this cannot bear to see others’ misery. Their heart bleeds on seeing the instance of a leaf or a flower being plucked. They feel unbearable to see anyone shedding tears or to see any person or an animal bleeding. A person with such a state of mind is only regarded as a ‘rishi’ Only such a rishi can become a ‘kavi’. One who can feel what others experience and one who can describe what he has experienced is ‘Kavi’. Valmiki has become a rishi and he is going to be a ‘kavi’. To be continued... Jai Srimannarayana!
