Guest guest
Sri:mathe: Ramanujayanamaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale: Saranam! Jai Srimannarayana Our motherland has always been the most hospitable source of inspiration for generations of poets and writers. Hence to no surprise, we have the most legendary epics such as Rigveda, Bhagavthgeetha, Ramayana, Mahabharatha and puranas. These epics are life giving and life sustaining forces to the humanity. Following the classical tradition, the renowned poet and the then emperor Srikrishnadevaraya who reigned the Vijayanagara Empire in Southern India five centuries ago presented a great Telugu poetical work "Amuktha Malyada" to the Indian literature. It is an admirable poetry extending onto fiction and knowledgeable editions for all the ages. In this great contribution, the emperor Srikrishnadevaraya focussed upon the wedding story of Godadevi (Andal), the lone daughter of Srivishnuchitta, a very famous devotee of Srivilliputture in Tamilnadu. The marriage was with Sriranganatha an incarnation of lord Krishna idolized at Srirangam. Today, a dedicated scholar of Telugu literature Dr. K. Venkata Charya with all good intentions of bringing laurels to Indian literature analyzed the main aspect of philosophy intricately vowen in "Amukta Malyada". The title of the book is "Amukta Malyada and its Philosophy". He has critically studied various literary works of great authors relevant to the context covered in Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and English languages. This book covers all the intricacies of Indian culture and values. Dr. Venkata Charya attained M.A. (Telugu) from Osmania University in 1965, and got "two Gold Medals", having secured University first rank. He did M.A. in Sanskrit from the same University and Ph. D., from Kakatiya University. He served as the head of the esteemed Sanskrit Degree College at Warangal in A.P. His commendable services to the Education Department were recogonized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and honoured him with "Best College Teacher Award", in 1986. Besides, he was bestowed with awards such as "Sahithya Vidya Praveena" and "Upanyasaka Ratna". Now he wishes to spread the philosophical fragrance of Telugu literature through his work. Many laureates of literature appreciated the review mentioned above and complemented that this would be a good stimulation for all the upcoming dedicated writers, and a source of knowledge to every one of the present and future generations. .....
