“asthi brahme:thi che:dve:da santhame:nam thatho:viduh”

‘sath’ means one that IS THERE. Upanishad says ‘one who has the knowledge of the

existence of brahmam’ IS THERE. If ‘a:thma’ is not there in the body then the

body loses its entity. Bhagavan is the a:thma for all the athma:s and for all

the inanimate beings and He bears them all as His Divine Body. Only when He is

present in onething, that can be said to be 'present'. Thus a rishi visualizes

Bhagavan in everything. He is the ‘sanmanushya’. He would not have rajas in his

manas. Neither thamas will be there in his mind. The mud in the water is like

the ‘thamas’. When that is there, we can not see what lies therein. When there

is thamo:guna in the manas one would be gripped by lust. The thamo:guna in the

manas, like the waves that rise in the water, quakes the manas. A manas devoid

of rajas would not have any diversions and would be attractive like - the river

water which is calm and still is pleasant to look at. It would not have any

fascination or hatred. One would love all and be loved by all.

To be continued.....
