Guest guest
Asmad gurubhyo namaha, Jai Srimannarayana Bhagavan’s greatness is described in Vedas. His saulabyam makes Him take the form of archa murthi. But by seeing Him in such an accessible form some vulnerable souls blow malicious mockery at Him. But if one has complete faith and seeks whatever one wants, the same will be granted by the Lord in archaamurthi shows Andal in Tiruppavai. The daivam in the mantra is handed to devotees by an acharya who will be introduced to us through other disciples. We should listen to what other devotees say, for which our manas should be nirmalam. The sattvam should grow for this to happen, which requires conducive atmosphere and time. This is Dhanurmasam. This is the right time. When the right seeds are sown in the right field, in the right process there will be tremendous yield. Andal gave us 30 pasuras, which are 30 seeds of Veda, when sown in this month yields the greatest produce – ananda, eternal bliss. This ananda is nothing but Krishna Himself. By following this - we all will be doing Service to All mankind as Service to God. We will Respect All beings as we will see Krishna in All. The nucleus of this vrata is temple. How should we go to the divine abode, whom should be approach and pray, how should we pray is described in Tiruppavai in the form of 30 beautiful seeds of Veda by Andal. Through bhaktas we should reach an acharya. Andal wanted us to realize ‘what mantra is’ - which is represented in the previous pasuram by waking up Nandagopa, Yasoda, Krishna, Balarama. Nanda is acharya, Yasoda is Narayana Astakshari, Krishna is sarvesvara tattvam which is mantrardham. Balarama represents the nityasuris who offer services to Bhagavan. Knowing mantra alone is not enough. There is again a process defined for seeking refuge in Bhagavan. Balarama revealed a secret yesterday by conveying the message that Krishna will be in Neela’s palace. In this pasura Neela Devi, divine mother is being woken up. When someone goes to a temple one should not go directly into sanctum sanctorum. We should do namaskaram to all the sannidhis where there are devotees. Then we should go to the dhvaja sthambham, prostrate and enter the temple. There will be acharyas’ sannidhi where we should offer our prayers and do pradakshina. Following this we should go to Divine mother’s sannidhi and then enter the sanctum sanctorum. This is sampradaya rahasyam. One should get belief in Vedas through bhaktas; and should worship Divine Mother before having the Bhagavan’s darshan who in the mantra through Guru. We have committed innumerable sins, irrespective of which, we are taken close by Divine Mother, shown the right path and invokes compassion in the Lord’s heart and makes us look good and She is the best negotiator. Divine’s mother name is ‘sri’ which means she will listen to our problems and tell dad about the same. She will pacify …So even if Lord is right in front of us we shouldn’t go directly to Him. We should go through divine mother. Sri/Lakshmi our mom has another name called ‘purusha:kara’ – makes one a purusha. Purusha means Purna. Dad who gets angry with his kids and leaves them is ‘apu:rna’. But if the extreme kindness is part of his decision making, he will not show his anger on us. This ‘karuna’ is nothing but Sri. This is nothing but Sri + Narayana = SrimanNarayana tattavam. So ‘sri’ should be prayed first and then surrender to His lotus feet. Because of Sri, Bhagavan has become a ‘pu:rna’. That is the reason divine mother is called ‘purushakaram’. How should we ask Mom? Andal is describing this in this pasuram. Hanuma was not able to find Sita in Lanka irrespective of his sincere efforts. Then Hanuma prays to Divine mother “please bless me with your appearance just as you made yourself appear to Janaka”. Bhagavan will be obedient to Acharya like a son, while Lakshmi is humble to an acharya like a daughter-in-law. Bhagavan and Mom like themselves to be referred with Acharya’s connection. Nappinnai, Neela Devi and Sundara Kumari are names of divine mother who has complete control on Lord Krishna. We are waking our mom today. Acharya’s upadesa mudra is that which protects us. The place where acharya stays is nanda vraj. Rajo-guna, the kamsa, cannot dare to come to NandaVraj. The elephant symbolizes ahankara in us which creates three kinds of ‘mada:s’. Guru with his upadesam destroys these. The lock called ajna:na needs to be removed by Sri. It is almost day, the time when we are about to be rescued. We seem to understand what our acharya has taught us. The cuckoo birds, on the creepers in the backyard are constantly singing. These are alwars. That plant is sriyahpati. The bird’s songs are the divya prabandhas. Mother! You won in the jagathleela and are holding this universe like a ball in your palm. Please open the door filling our eyes with your charm, pacify our ears with the music of your bangles, furnish fragrance to our nose, quench our thirst and hunger with the song and give us happiness of your touch by opening the door. Mother! Open the door with delight and joy! Thus prayed Andal to Divine Mother to bless us!
