Guest guest
Sri Krishna Parabrahmane Namaha: [This is the translation of Gita Jyothi Week No.38 Sloka graced by, Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami, in Bhakthi Nivedana ] In the body there are many types of ‘pra:Na’ Sakthis. Each one does a particular work for this body. The fire that provides the necessary energy and supplies the required food for all these is the Jattaraagni. It is called ‘Vaiswaanara’. The entire visible universe if called ‘viswam’ and all the substances we see are called ‘vaiswam’. Even our name is that only. We call one a human being, another an animal. We call one a bird and another an insect and yet another a germ, a tree, a stone a hill and ….so on. All these are different things, formed in this world. Some move and some don’t. Some have life. Some though look as having life are stationary. Being present in the desired level behind all these to give them entity and helping them to change without changing Himself – the agni that is present in all - is called ‘vaiswaanara’. If all the substances are ‘viswam’ then all the forms that pertain to that viswam are ‘vaiswams’. It has become Vaiswaanara because being present in them it does not perish. (nareeyathe, na ksheeyathe = that which does not perish). Since he stays in and brings about the change to all these things, the change for the betterment - itself remaining the same – it is called ‘agni’. ‘Agram nayathi ithi agnihi’ they said in sasthras. ‘agram’ = up, higher and higher, nayathi = it takes. It takes you up there. Since the agni in our body helps in bringing the change and that too to attain a higher plane, it is called ‘vaiswanaraagni’. This is also called ‘Jattha raagni’ as it is present in the stomach. It is present in everyone. In an ant it is as much, in a human it is of his size, and in a tree it is that much big. The agni shines in devathas as big as them. The reason behind its presence in us is just to evolve us.
