Guest guest
Sri Krishna Parabrahmane Namaha: [This is the translation of Gita Jyothi Week No.38 Sloka graced by, Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami, in Bhakthi Nivedana ] Hence they give another definition for this. These various types of substances in the world (viswan) are (nayathi) taken forward. ViSwaan (naraan), nayathi – bearing the different kinds of materials in the world it is the ‘Vaiswanaraagni’ that takes them forward - as suitable to each and every one. If this agni is present in them they move forward. If not, they can’t. If the inside fire cools down then the body above is called a dead body. We have to recognise that this agni is the Vaiswanaraagni that stays in all the things and protects them from turning into dead bodies and guides them in the path of evolution. We take food for that purpose. What type of food should we take? The food we take should help us to progress. Some say, “Give a morsel to pacify the burning stomach. What is the purpose of reciting the Vedas?”. It’s true. It is a great work. “I don’t believe in Gods and Goddesses. I believe only in the crying stomach. I believe in satisfying only that.” One who says so is also a devotee because he is recognizing Bhagavan in the form of hunger (Vaiswanaraagni) It means he is noticing it as the Jattaraagni only and his attention is not going upto the Paramaathma who is behind If he looks into it a little more deeper it is great. If he can provide food to it with the awareness that it is the divine energy he is feeding then it is: ‘yathaa ishiika thu:lam agnou pro:tham pradu:ye:tha’. As the vedantha sa:stra told – it is doing ‘brahmo:pasana’ to attain salvation. In this sloka Bhagavan says that this is the ‘Vaiswaanara upaasana’. If we realize this fact and take our food, then we have done the ‘upaasana’. Whenever we take food if we think – ‘krishnaarpaNa masthu’ ‘vaiswaanaraarpaNamasthu’ and put the food in, then the upaasana is done.
