Guest guest
Asmad gurubhyo namaha, Jai Srimannarayana In the previous pasura, declaring that all the alternatives have been exhausted all the gopikas went to Sri Krishna’s sannidhi. Krishna was little disappointed at the statement, it seems. Saying we have no other go when we have our mom Neela devi, with us and while we are His, is wrong. In panchavati all the rushis expressed their anguish to SriRama by showing the atrocities being committed by the asuras. A shy, bashful, SriRama out of compassion sought their pardon, mentions that all this only happened due to his negligence and promised to diligently handle the situation by destroying the asuras. Similarly Krishna is pacifying Neela Devi. Vibheshana left lanka and his possessions and waits in the air appealing to SriRama of His intention to totally surrender to SriRama while waiting in the air. SriRama pacifies all the vanaras and Sugreeva who oppose his inclusion in the team as he belonged to the opposition party and sends Sugreeva to invite him over with apologies for the delay by saying “Vibheshana please do not mistake us for the delay, my dear brother”. Similarly Krishna is pacifying Neela Devi here. Guha did not do any great penance. He walked towards SriRama a couple of feet. SriRama says, “Guha, Wow! You have completed all the pujas. Please get up. That is enough!” SriRama thought that Guha’s willingness itself was simply great. Similarly Krishna thought Gopikas have taken a lot of pain and have came all the way. He felt extremely sorry for not fulfilling the wishes of the gopikas and thought he was the cause of their suffering. Krishna says, “Please ask me. What do you want? You have Mom’s recommendation. I will fulfil all your wishes.” Andal replies carefully, “Krishna, you might say that we have expressed our wishes in a sleepy state or you might say you don’t remember our demands or we forgot what we asked. So please come and sit on the Divya simhasanam in the sabha. Anything you say can be believed while you are occupying the simhasanam”. Here Andal is asking Lord to fulfil the wishes from Leela vibuthi itself. Lord is with us in the form of archa murthi. Honestly the gopikas wanted to see the beauty of Krishna’s walk and His ‘divya Mangala vigraham’ while He was sitting. It seems Krishna’s captivating walks are different at different times. They did not want to demand any mundane wishes. Just while Krishna was about to get up, she says, “Please wait, we will tell you how you should wake up”. In the previous pasura she expressed to Krishna how He should open His eyes. Krishna listens to all our demands. This is Bhagavan’s saulabhyam. Before srusti there is only one tattvam called ‘sat’. This entire creation of Lord is done all by Himself within a second, in a single instance. He is everywhere and in everything. Depending upon the karma the souls are awarded deserving bodies and He Himself enters the souls. Hence His name is ‘sat’ says Upanishad. All that we see now was there before and is present now, but in a different form. Upanishad calls the state before srusti as ‘tat’ and the one after srusti as ‘tvam’. He is in each one of us. Upanishad reveals this “tatvamasi” secret. Andal analogises the same with a Lion and in a beautiful, simple pasura illustrates this great secret revealed by Upanishads. andal divya thiruvadigale saranam! adiyen ramanuja dasaha!
