Guest guest
srimathe ramanujaya namaha, srimathe narayanaya namaha, jai srimannarayana! ( continued... ) Like his endeavour during the ‘samudramadhanam’ Krishna himself has put in full effort now to turn them all towards Him and he pacified the elders too. He had eradicated the ego that was in their way like he had eliminated the demon ‘Kesi’. He became Kesava for He killed Kesi. In the second pasura we had started this vratha singing about ‘paraman adi padi’ (his Lotus Feet) and finished the vratha singing ‘kesa:ntham’. When we go to Bhagavan’s sannidhi to have His darshan we have to see up to kesa:ntham. After having His darshan their faces bloomed. Their hearts’ burden was released and their faces shone brightly with happiness. That itself was like an ornament on their faces. They wanted to be with SriKrishna before that beauty faded. They sang mangalam for him and received the parai they wanted. Earlier gopikas did vratam in Vrepalle and achieved Krishnapra:pthi. Aandaal sang the same. She is Vishnuchitta’s daughter. Villiputtur is the place. This place is ornamental to the entire earth. What is the reason? The supreme Bhagavan is in the heart of Vishnuchitta. From Bhagavan’s navel the ‘padmam’ came out, from which chaturmukha Brahma emerged. Paramathma is the seed for that padmam. Vishnuchitta has that Bhagavan in his heart. Not only Him, Vishnuchitta wears the accounts of His incarnations as a chain of lotus beads in his neck. Andal tells about herself citing her connection with her sada:cha:rya who had Bhagavan under his control. When we know her association with him, our regard for her goes up. It is better if we all sing these pasurams together. As the number in the goshti increases the happiness and contentment of reciting them too increases. As Bhu:devi became Goda; the Upanishads became the pasurams. These “here ‘in this manner’ you recite enough,” saying thus Andal sang so generously and got SriRaganatha’s approval too. andal divya thiruvadigale saranam! adiyen ramanuja dasaha! Jai Srimannarayana! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Amazing, Exciting and Unbelievable: http://www.chinnajeeyar.org/ppalemnewsjan03.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well said Raghu Mudumbai Swamin. How better to appreciate Thayar then do our small bit to help maintain the divya desams in India. Commemorating the Thiruppavai season a small number of us have formed a team called Andal Ghosti. Each member in this team has taken vow to save $10 a month and send it to divya desam kaimkaryam. This kaimkaryam will result in hiring archakas, parcharakas (cooks) and modest thiruvaradhanam grocery for Perumal in a divya desam dear and near to Thayar Andal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "pAthagang-gaL theerkumm paraman-adi-kAttum vedam-anaittukkum vitthAkum kOthai tamizh aiy-aiyndu maiynddum ariyAda mAniddarai vaiyam sumappathum vambu". --vedappiraAn Bhattar Narayanan perumaigalai eyanraAlum eyalum chudikodutha sudarkodiyin Thayar Andal perumai solliyum mudiyumo? mattrum annai padi kodutha thiruppavai porul anaithum unnarthanorum undo? govindanadi padi koodi naam selvome aval sonna vanname! adiyen andal thiruvadigale saranam anandavalli dasan
